I am really excited about starting this blog. Josh and I got engaged in May on his graduation day. What a way to propose! I felt like such a special person with him sharing this special day with me. For those of you who know me- you know this was the moment I'd been waiting for... but when it came I had no idea what to do! So I did what I thought you were supposed to do. I went out to spend lots of money on a collection of useless wedding magazines and brochures. I spent about 2 hours of of every day this past summer looking at wedding magazines and saying "Josh! I want this! Isn't this church amazing!? Look at this dress! You would look Hottttt in a white suit! (He said no white suit). I begged Josh to set up a wedding website with me, but when I looked into them all of the information they wanted we didn't yet have: 'When's the big date?' (don't know), Traditional or Contemporary? (not sure), Wedding Party? (can i figure out the date first?), Where are you registered? (where is my wedding!?!?!!). So as you can see the website wasn't going to work quite yet- so we talked and Josh had the idea to do a blog! I'm excited about blogging about our engagement. We are planning to get married in the summer of 2011 and our favorite date so far is July 2nd. As I looked through more of the magazines, I realized that nothing in them suited me! I was going to have to do my own research. I thought about getting married at the church where I grew up, but it's a more contemporary building and I wanted something very traditional. Hey, I only get one wedding (to Josh) so I continued my search and I found it. The most beautiful sanctuary in a baptist church off Royal Lane in Dallas. And not to mention one of my bf's, Lindsey, is a member! Talk about a connection! Check it out!

So- you're probably wondering why the title "Byron Says No Ones Cares". I just finished eating dinner at the Sanders' house. I work quite close to where they live and it's a lot of fun to head over after work on the days I don't have class to see my precious niece, Bailey (and to eat dinner for free). Anywho- I did that today so I could eat dinner for free... and I sit down to show Byron my new blog that I'm so proud of and he said "Carla, no one cares". What the what, Byron?!?! I mean I don't want to paint this guy like a villian, but if the shoe fits... ya know what I mean. Maybe he just had a bad day at work.... I'm sure that lots of people care! Enjoy reading our blog. Josh is up next!
