An Intro or As Intro as Intro Can Get

Well looks like I got dragged into this. Against my will-may I add. But she insisted that it would make her happy so I am willing to oblige. Considering this will make it three or four blogs now that I must contribute to this year as long as it makes the woman happy...
I am writing from my new home...aka Pittsburgh, PA...It is a different place-the jury is still out on my feelings about it all but it is definitely not like anywhere else that I have ever lived. The reason for this blog is simple: I was approached by Carla and told that she would really like it if we did one together because it will be a way to "connect" us since we live over 1,200 miles away from each other and will for the next 2 years. I said sure and now I am writing a post at 3 a.m. (east coast)...
Now besides moving to Pittsburgh for school, I also moved away so I could avoid all wedding planning. Seriously. Well not seriously. But I didn't want to have to be shown wedding magazine this and wedding magazine that every other (or every) day and be dragged to a million and one churches and reception sites. I could care less where the wedding/reception takes place as long as it happens, its legal, and the PYT signs my pre-nuptial. Other than that I'm golden.
I mean not that I'm rolling in dough because I'm not (Me=grad student=broke) but just in case I happen to strike it rich by discovering oil, excavating a dinosaur fossil, or get the golden ticket to the Willy Wonka factory, I think a pre-nup is the way to go. Just to protect myself I mean...and my seed(s)...
Now I'm sure PYT (that's Carla just in case you were wondering: shorter letters, easier on the typing fingers) will tell you the wonderful tale of how she was proposed to and all the wonderful things that come along with being engaged and almost married (600+ days buddy!) but as for this guy, I'm not going to be doing that. I'll be the voice of reason and reality and will let you in on the "real" experience of being engaged...so believe her lies if you want to..but trust me when you see this red font...you know it will be the truth...
