Breakfast for dinner anyone?

So-- just a little clarification about my last post.  I would NEVER in a million years have a wedding full of the stuff below.  Never.  You see- Josh and I were having this little discussion and he told me that he wanted to just show up for our wedding- no helping plan anything.  I told him that if he just showed up there would definitely be some things he wouldn't be too happy with... hence the ugly orange and white  wedding stuff.  I mean, did you see the cake... gross!  But the sad part is that I actually took those pictures off of wedding sites.  So.. if it's yours.... sorry!  Just not my style! However, I am thinking about something a little eccentric... see what you think.

I am a very traditional kind of girl.  I grew up in church and am most definitely proud of my faith... so of course I want a church wedding.... but not just any church wedding.  A very traditional church wedding at the church I mentioned previously.  But along with that- Josh and I are fun people (well at least the six-year-olds I teach tell me I'm fun).  We both have a really silly, kid type side and I want our reception to truly reflect our personalities.  If you've ever met Josh- he can be shy at first.... which is so weird, because he's the most obnoxious talkative person I've ever met.  So when we're together and well rested (Josh has been slacking on the well rested part ever since he started his doctoral program) we can be quite a pair.  So anyway- I'm totally excited about this idea... and when I told him this afternoon he said "Um... that's even dumber than your sisters gourmet hot dog idea.  That's another story for another day.... but basically he didn't like it too much... but I do!

One of our favorite things to do together is eat.  Haha.  We're working on changing that to something like work out instead, but hey give us some time to get there.  Anyway- we love going out to eat together especially for breakfast.  There's nothing like sharing your favorite meal with your favorite person :)  When Josh lived in Denver and I would visit we went to a breakfast place called Delectable Egg... it was sooooooo good.  Joshua would get the Red Rooster with three pancakes instead of cottage cheese.  He was a regular there!  I had such a hard time choosing between the Idaho Skillet (potatoes piled with egg whites, bacon, cheese, and scallions) and the Rooster Surprise (sausage, eggs, and pancakes).  My mouth is watering just thinking about it.  When we're both here in Dallas, we like to frequent OPH (The Original Pancake House for those who didn't know!)  At OPH, Josh gets three pancakes, three eggs, and six slices of thick bacon which he usually doesn't finish.  That's too much bacon for one person!  I get turkey sausage, egg whites with cheese, hashbrowns, and pancakes.  We also love eating breakfast when our families make it.  Josh's mom makes eggs to DIE for..... and my mom hosts a huge brunch with all your breakfast favorites for Easter to us to celebrate together.  Soooooo... what does this all mean?  Breakfast for dinner... that's what.  Josh and I are planning to have an evening wedding and an evening reception... I'm thinking I want brunch for dinner.  It's soooooooooooooooooo us.  And of course not just breakfast type of food.... lots of really great brunch type foods including our favorites :)

Am I good?  Or am I good?  I kind of like writing without Josh being able to "defend" himself or his thoughts..... can't wait to tell you what I come up with next!
