It seems like not too long ago, I was just saying... we've got two years until the wedding... and now it's 8 months. Yes that is a long time, but when you're a teacher and you think of everything in terms of school years... it's closer than it seems. I felt it super important to fill you in on a few little things that are going on in my planning world...
I am eating cake. Lots of it. Deciding who to go with is HARD! I want people to be like, this is the best cake I've ever tasted. I mean looks are important too, but who's really gonna remember what it looked like besides me. (No, I didn't leave out Josh). So taste is key. I'm checking out a baker that a friend of mine recently had and also one from near my own hometown of Cedar Hill. Cross your fingers that it goes well.
Josh and I took some engagement photos this past Saturday- he was here for a weekend and man it flew by. We went for the urban downtown look, but we're going to do some "goofy" ones too. You know, the kind where Josh acts like himself and the camera captures it.. yeah those :)
But the MOST IMPORTANT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!! I picked up my dress yesterday! It is just as beautiful as I remember it... and it fits like a glove. SWEET! Josh- you're gonna pass out... or pee your pants... or something like that :)
This wedding planning stuff is hard... it consumes you. I am trying my best to not let it consume me-- I will admit I can be a bit of a bridezilla sometimes, but wouldn't you if you're engagement was two years long!
Anywho... I plan to update you more on things this weekend... but someone else may as well so beware of the red ink!!!!!!
