It has been one crazy, busy, long summer for the both of us...but it is finally winding down and the fall semester(s) will be here sooner than we know it. Carla will begin another semester with a brand new batch of kiddos (sounds like cookies!) and I will be once again nose stuck in a pleathra of book spines. We have had an incredible summer. A summer that was spent mostly apart (boooo!) but when together a lot of fun. I made numerous trips from Dallas from West Texas to hang out with my lovely bride-to-be. We took a trip to Disney World with Brent and his family (not to mention that our friend's Kasey, Marco, Jesiree and Arianne were there as well), did comedy shows, and did a lot of wedding planning. O.K. I lied I did some wedding planning. And I agreed to go to a place and shoot the "gun". Barcodes here I come sometime! It was a great summer for us, even though we spent a lot of it apart. Carla finished all of her coursework for her Masters degree and will be graduating in December from SMU. It is such a huge accomplishment and I am very very proud of her. Also, pretty soon she will be a certified teacher and will be able to teach anywhere in the United States (even though her heart is steadfast in staying in Dallas-sorry yo!).
With all of those accomplishments you would think the girl would be able to pick out some wedding colors right? Wrong!....go ahead and ask her what the colors will be...ask her...exactly nothing. Now, the big deal about that is that she will NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE until she has those colors picked. It is like a never ending red light to her. So I am suggesting green! Green means go! Right?! And that is where I kindly remove myself out of the color choosing process and wait till I am asked to help. At least I don't think she has picked any colors?
Anyways, Carla and are committed to this blog and will make sure to do a better job at updating it regularaly. July 2, 2011 can not come any sooner for us....
So, have you shot the "gun" yet? That was one of Trey's favorite things! Half the time he wouldn't let me hold it!
