It's late on Tuesday evening. The eve of the five month mark to our wedding actually! I didn't have to go to work today because it was a "snow day". You see... here in Texas, as soon as we have snow, school closes... it's AWESOME! And not only that, but we're off tomorrow too. But I will say that it was honestly needed today. There was nothing but ice on all the roads... like pure ice. I drove to Target to get some food and probably skidded about 4 times. And trust me, I'm a careful driver on ice! I actually sort of like it... so long as there aren't other cars around me.... other people are crazy.
Anywho- when you have some unexpected time off of work, it only makes sense to wedding plan!
I can't belive that tomorrow marks 5 months. CRAZY! These past two years have flown by. We are getting really excited. I am very happy with how it's all coming together as well. We have a book/education theme going and I'm finding some really cool ways to showcase our style. I found a really cool way to display pictures on our guest table. We're going to hollow out some pages from old books. It's super cool! Although Josh owns like 500 books himself, he wouldn't give me any to cut the pages out of. How rude is that? So I went with Jolie to half-price and we bought an armful to start with. I also saw a really cool way for people to leave us marriage advice and good wishes- I bought a metal mailbox that we're planning to spray paint ivory and have "post-cards" next to it for people to mail us. I am definitely trying my hand a DIY projects... I am more of a decorator than an artist, so we'll see how this all goes.
Anywho- I hope to be very productive tomorrow, as I'm sure I'll be back at work on Thursday-- I can't imagine three days in a row! Plus we have parent conferences on Friday and Monday and I'm not quite ready for those yet. One thing that I decided is that a video is super important to me and I don't have a videographer! I am searching high and low because I don't have a ton of money in the budget for it. I don't want anything fancy smancy... just something we could look back on to see the exchanging of our vows and some of the special family and friends who were there thay day to celebrate with us.
